About the Artist

I am a mixed media fiber artist. A big part of my work focuses on the natural world around me, and how I choose to respond to it. Because of my intense need to be in nature, I bring in ethically sourced natural materials such as lichens, moss, wood and bones and pair that with fiber. Even though I am working with fiber, I choose not to limit myself and be labeled as a fiber artist. Even though fiber plays a huge role in many, if not most of my pieces. I like to think of myself as an unconventional weaver. A lot of my pieces are a hodge podge mix of things that I have found, ethically sourced, or harvested. I try to be as zero-waste and sustainable as possible. I value the use of the most natural materials over synthetic products.
