About the Artist

Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts is an arts nonprofit based in midcoast Maine. Its fifty-four-acre campus, nestled between the Sheepscot River and the Atlantic Ocean, is a celebrated space of inspiration and gathering among the international ceramics community. Founded in 1986 on the site of an abandoned brick factory, Watershed’s core mission has always been to provide ceramicists with time and space to explore ideas with clay. Watershed’s programming has grown exponentially over the years, now supplying artists at all stages in their careers with year-round opportunities like residencies, workshops, exhibition space, and more. Today, well over a hundred artists visit Watershed each year to create, rest, and broaden their community.
