About the Artist

My work is a reflection of a deep connection to nature and the world around us. Through my art, I seek to capture the beauty and complexity of the everyday scenes that often go unnoticed. My subjects are carefully chosen, each one holding a special significance.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, I am often drawn to scenes that evoke a sense of peace and serenity. Whether it's the soft light of a sunset, the quiet stillness of a forest, or the gentle ripples on a pond, and I aim to convey a sense of tranquility to the viewer. Color has become increasingly important in my art and a way to express a wide range of emotions. A painting will often begin with an urge to play and experiment with a particular palette .

In a world that moves so quickly I hope that my art serves as a reminder to slow down, take a moment, and appreciate the simple moments that make life so rich. Through my art I invite viewers to see the world through a new perspective on the beauty that surrounds us every day.

I have studied with Chris Reed and Marguerite Lawler- Rohner in Maine
and Markissia Touliatos, Karen Baker, Nathan Beard, Joe Weinzettle, Lorainne Potoki, Candy Schultheis, Linda Feinstein and Mickey Mata in Florida. I still maintain a private practice in psychotherapy part-time, have had a continuous practice since 1978, where I also have an opportunity to express creativity and connect with others.
