About the Artist
My main passion is using traditional folk dance and music to bring people together in community. Community & "barn" dances, workshops and programs for adults, children, & families, and 18th century & historical dances are some of the exciting experiences I can provide for your group at any dancing level. I am available solo, with musicians, using recorded music, or with your musicians. A sample of dances are on my youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/countrydancecaller) and my Patricia Campbell, Dance Caller FB page (https://www.facebook.com/CountryDanceCaller).
When in-person dancing is not an option, I have programs through DanceTogether...Apart, my Zoom-based alternative to in-person begun during Covid. It is ongoing and it allows people from all over to dance together!
A dance leader and consultant with experience providing programs for families, schools, libraries and community organizations, I also provide 18th century and early dance for historical organizations and private groups. My extensive experience (11+ years) with seniors at a CT senior center and having completed the Intro Teacher Training for Dance for PD* (*Parkinson's Disease) NYC, enhance my work with seniors. As the part-time Traditional Dance Teacher at the Waldorf School in CT, I lead the annual May Fair.
