About the Artist

In a society where the pace of life often outpaces our awareness, we often overlook the intricate beauty that exists in the world around us. Nature is the inspiration for my drawings and paintings — not only in its grand, sweeping vistas, but in its quiet, intimate moments. Through my work, I often seek to draw attention to often-missed subtleties by zooming in to capture the textures and intricacies of flowers, plants and various subject matter close-up. I believe that by engaging with the smallest details, we can begin to see the world more holistically, recognizing the value in both the grand and the small, the fleeting and the enduring.

I earned a BFA at the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a concentration in painting. I am currently focused on graphite drawings and working to expand my artistic voice by revisiting my painting roots. My mission is to share my artistic vision and passion for art in a way that inspires and sustains both me and my viewer.
