About the Artist

Ahh, Maine the way life should be... our state motto-and how true it is.
I am a transplanted New Yorker living in the beautiful state of Maine. I grew up in the midst of the
hustle and bustle of New York City. My mom was a seamstress, and she was always crafting and my
dad was a musician at heart. It would not be unusual for me to come home from school & hear the
music blasting and the walls of our home hand stenciled or the living room ceiling covered with
hanging glittery star bursts! Both grandmothers were also avid textile makers. Therefore, I grew up
loving art and was exposed and encouraged to explore all mediums. I am also enamored with learning
and I have had the good fortune to study with many talented artists near and far who have
encouraged and influenced my work. Interestingly, oftentimes my curiosity, inspirations and passions
change. Currently I am exploring abstract, however , I could quickly become inspired by my perception
of a view on a hike on the rocky coast of Maine or by exploring a beach dune in Provincetown, or a still
life from a restaurant table setting..my creativity just flows from my surroundings.
My studio is in Cape Elizabeth, Maine where I reside with my husband & two Maine Coon cats, who
