About the Artist
GreenWood Gallery of Maine was established in 2013 by Anita F Poulin and her husband, the late Jean L Poulin. Both Anita and Jean had a dream of opening an art gallery to exhibit their work as well as helping other artists market their art and offer a place to exhibit their art. In 2012 a family building, then located on the Spring Rd. Lake Auburn became available to the couple. The building previously belonging to Ms. Poulin great grandfather Alphonse Thomas Auger was purchased by the City of Auburn Water District and was slated to be torn down. The contractor offered the building to the Poulin's. Two days later the building was moved to 998 Old Danville Rd. in Auburn. A year later Anita and Jean hung their sign and opened for business as GreenWood Gallery of Maine. Anita with her fine art and Jean with his stained glass work. This year the gallery is celebrating it's 12th Annual Gallery Open House. Date: October 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You are invited to come join the fun.
