About the Artist

I'm a pastel, charcoal, and watercolor artist living in the Portland, Maine area who paints portraits and figures of people and animals and whatever else captures my imagination. Coming home to my creative pursuits late in life, I am enjoying newfound freedom to follow my artistic instincts whenever the spirit moves me. I do my best to subtly reflect the feeling I have for the subjects I paint. Nothing is more important to me than capturing that sense of emotion and getting the light right. I believe they must both be on point for a painting to feel complete.
