About the Artist

The Wilhelm Reich Museum is an historic site and nature preserve dedicated to the life and work of renowned physician-scientist Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957). It comprises 175 acres of fields and woodland, a system of trails, a Conference Center, and the Orgone Energy Observatory, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Vivid oil canvases, painted by Reich in the 1950s, are displayed throughout this building. His sculpture "The Messenger" and an original woodcut by German artisit Kathe Kollwitz are also exhibited.
