About the Artist

Unique hand-carved wood decorative and functional art and folkart, including Santas, driftwood and bark wood spirits and Maine fishermen. All designs are original, incorporating a love for the nautical, rural and wild nature of Maine, and for ""Santa''s"" spirit of giving. Of particular intrigue to Marcia is the concept of ""giving new life to old wood"", as evidenced in her wood spirits and carved antique lobster buoys. Much of Marcia''s work is ""one-of-a-kind"", and commission work is always welcomed. Marcia teaches carving in her home studio.
