About the Artist

Ann Stein is an Oil Painter of Landscapes and Portraits. She is well known throughout the state for her bold use of intense color and motion-filled compositions. She moved to Belfast, Maine in 1989. For the next 13 years, her vibrant Maine Landscapes were exhibited and sold throughout the United States. In 2001, she relocated to Cushing, Maine. Her focus now is on painting the "Portrait as Landscape". She employs the bold color and motion-filled compositions of her Landscapes to intensly describe her subjects.
