About the Artist

Poet. Presently working with teachers in our system, teaching how to teach writing through the use of poetry. I have been working with Baron Wormser who is Maine Poet Laurate to develop a model for training teacher, many of whom, dread poetry due to the way that they were taught in school to "find" the meaning in a poem. We have 30 staff, some of whom have gone to advanced training at the Frost Place in Franconia, who can work with other staff to give them practical ways to teach and assess poems, just as you teach and assess expository writing by using rubrics.
