About the Artist

Lois Leonard Stock fell in love with Maine as a child, vacationing in the state with her family. She received a B.A. in Art from Colby College in Waterville in 1973. After obtaining an M.S. in Art from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Stock returned to Maine. Her paintings have been included in both business and private collections in the Northeast and the Midwest. Her illustrations have been purchased by book, magazine, and educational publishers, and business and advertising clients.
The artist has recently received a Master's degree in Social Work, and is using artwork as a healing therapy in her work with clients. Stock currently lives and maintains a studio in Portland.
