About the Artist

Beth Wiemann is a composer and clarinetist, writing music for various classical ensembles throuhout the United States. Educated at Oberlin College and Princeton University, she teaches at the University of Maine. Her works have been performed by the Bangor Symphony, New York New Music Ensemble, Parnassus, Ensemble 21 and Earplay, among others. She has been commissioned by professional artists as well as school groups, such as the Asa Adams Chorale of Orono, ME.
