About the Artist

Brenda Ellis Sauro, a native Of Cape Cod, now living in South Paris, is self taught and has been drawing and painting with oils for over thirty years.Her passion for mermaids and the human figure have been the inspiration for most of her artwork, on canvas, walls and furniture.In addition to her original oil paintings, her collection of Mermaid art is now available in Fine Art prints and greeting cards,mugs,tiles,and keepsake boxes. The Painted Mermaid Gallery represents a collective of 34 local Artists and Artisans that represent the beauty of Maine with artworks in oil, watercolor,acrylics, pastels,graphite,and photography.
