About the Artist
Conni St.Pierre's instrumental music is ambient, relaxing, meditational, and comforting. The ''Legends Trilogy'', seven years in the making, consists of three cd releases on Maine's smasheasy? label: ''Beneath the Waves: Legends of Lost Cities,'' ''Between the Branches: Legends of the Wild,'' and ''Beyond the Sky: Legends of the Starry Night.'' Together the trilogy totals 120 minutes of soft, inspiring, tranquil music.
The instrumentation is alto flute, Japanese shakuhachi, keyboards, and native flute. Some of the tracks were recorded outdoors, on a mountain deep in the woods of western Maine.
The most recent release, ''Beyond the Sky,'' was named the #1 New Age instrumental album of 2003 by NPR's Wind and Wire. Her fourth album, ''Flower Spirits'' is set for releasee on the Spring Equinox, 2006.
