About the Artist
Beverly Mann is a mask theatre performer, actor, dancer, mask-maker and educator who has performed and taught extensively since 1981. From 1993 to 2005, she was a company member/artist-in residence for Faustwork Mask Theatre, and toured "The Mask Messenger" throughout the U.S., Canada, Mozambique, South Africa and Peru. She was a company member of IMAGO Theatre, from 1986-1989 and again in 1993, performing mask, movement and visual illusion touring to 40 states, Germany, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong with appearances on "Good Morning, America" and the Disney special "New Vaudevillians, Too." She was a company member of TheatreSports, an improvisational theatre company based in Seattle, Wa. Beverly currently teaches numerous workshops and residencies in mask-making, mask theater techniques and theater improvisation throughout Maine, across the U.S. and abroad and is affiliated with the Maine Alliance for Arts Education. She is available for school and family evening performances, festivals, and artist-in-residence programs in mask theatre & movement, mask-making and theatre improvisation.
