About the Artist

Musica de Filia (?Music of the Daughters?) is a unique, all girl choir, founded in 1997 by Jaye Churchill. The goal of Musica de Filia is to provide superb choral performance training to girls aged 8-18. We provide a warm, friendly environment, emphasizing poise, self-discipline and musical excellence. Girls learn and perform a wide variety of choral music ranging from Classical, Gospel, Broadway and beyond. Membership is by audition. We presently have 165 singers in Musica de Filia. Our current membership is drawn from all parts of Southern Maine, with girls traveling from as far as Saco, Manchester, Auburn and Brunswick to our rehearsals in Portland, Maine.
