About the Artist
John Rosenwald works as a poet and presenter.
With his wife, Ann Arbor, he has led writing workshops from kindergarten to elderhostels. Much of his work involves storytelling, transforming personal material into art. From his thirty years of helping edit the Beloit Poetry Journal and forty years of writing, he weaves an professional and imaginative atmosphere which encourages others to tell their own tales.
In the past fifteen years he has also presented frequently on life in China, where he has taught regularly and traveled extensively. A collection of commonplace Chinese artifacts in the hands of Rosenwald and Arbor leads to discoveries of worlds unfamiliar to most of those who live and work in Maine.
