About the Artist

As a self-taught artist and woodworker who was born in Boston, MA and raised on an island off the coast of Maine, I credit the unique beauty, culture and resources of these two environments as the source of initial and continuing inspiration.

Over the years my creative nature has led me in very diverse directions, and I have found that painted furniture is the perfect medium for combining my design and construction skills with my love of color and embellishment.

Working with barn boards, found objects, new and reclaimed lumber and my own painting techniques, I create pieces which are highly functional yet truly unique.
Each item-from painted cupboards and benches, to farmhouse tables and whimsical garden settees- is designed and crafted in my tiny one-woman studio in the Maine woods, and most are one-of-a-kind!
