About the Artist
Artist, Educator, Down East Maine native. My current work is exploring line, movement and dramatic lighting. I am working on three sets of work: Sunflowers, Maine at Night, and 9-11. The consistant mediums used In all three series are ink and watercolor. Other mediums used are painting and printmaking. Within the mentioned mediums and subject matters, I am exploring how to visually communicate a feeling at a particuliar moment in time. Examples: Time when a sunflower opens for the first time, rain falling on a dark, quiet street or the emotional turmoil of events of 9-11.
