About the Artist

Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Hancock County is a not-for profit, 501 (C) (3) corporation which was founded in 1976 by a group of music lovers interested in presenting the comic operas of Gilbert & Sullivan in Downeast Maine. Every year since then, this talented group of amateurs has presented one of the beloved works of G&S on stage at The Grand and occasionally in other venues. The winter show is held two weekends ? usually late January/early February, with a reprise in the summer ? July for the entertainment of our summer visitor.
