Portland Conservatory of Music

About the Artist

The Portland Conservatory is a Community Music School located in Portland, Maine?s Downtown Arts District. The Conservatory was founded in 1995 with the mission of providing top notch musical instruction to individuals of all ages, goals, and abilities. Since then, the Conservatory has brought that mission to life by bringing the gift of music into the lives of hundreds of students.

Currently, the Conservatory continues to fulfill its mission by offering programs such as private lessons on various instruments, music classes, and ensembles to students across the region. As stated earlier, our programs are offered to students of all ages, levels, and goals, something that makes us unique among organizations in Maine. Whether you (or your kids) are just starting out on your instrument, or whether you have been playing for years and years, you can be sure that the Conservatory has the resources to meet your needs. The Conservatory currently has over 400 students from across the region, and has a faculty numbering more than 40 of some of Maine?s most talented musicians.
