About the Artist
Sarabel designs fountains for large or intimate interior and exterior public or private spaces:lobbies in museums or other public buildings; offices; restaurants; penthouses, and homes. The finished piece appears to have always been in the particular location. This is to say, all mechanics are hidden from view and are controlled from a near-by convenient location.
Given the completed size of each piece, Sarabel has developed several prototypes to be viewed by the client. These examples represent what could be implemented for the client''s particular space. The client has range-of-choice in materials, colors and size, given agreed-upon budget. Sarabel then designs and, with client''s modifications and approval, coordinates and manages the construction of the piece, including, if negotiated, the siting and supervision of the fountain''s installation.
Materials used in prototypes are slate, copper, granite, fibre optic lighting (option, LED), and the latest hand-blown glass sphere in pool (see image).
Upon request, are photos of other prototypes. Also, photos are available of the installation process from prototype to actual fountain.
