Karen also teaches residencies for all grade-levels. Her program consists of a combination of workshops and performances. Karen''s background includes 10 years as a professional ballet dancer (Ohio Ballet and Darmstadt Opera Ballet in Germany). In 1987, Karen met master mime and world-renowned teacher of theater-arts, Tony Montanaro. The couple was married in 1989 and toured internationally for 15 years. During this time, Karen assisted Tony in all of his teaching engagements and acted as word-smith for his book, ''''Mime Spoken Here'''' (Tilbury House Publishers, 1995).
