About the Artist

I am a fiber artist who makes large scale sculpture and wall pieces as well as smaller handheld books. I gravitate toward fabric as a material, and the act of sewing as a domestic activity that is my legacy of being a woman.

I consider fiber as language, as a means for narrative. The materials I use range from metal window screen to silk sewing thread. Working with fiber as a medium provides me the chance to discuss my own experiences as well as my prospective of being female.
