About the Artist

A cartoonist and teacher, Lincoln draws the syndicated comic strip Big Nate. His workshops provide a setting for exploring comics through the invention of personally significant characters, symbols, and stories. Younger children investigate the range of graphic possibilities inherent in cartooning and learn simple principles of sequential narrative. Older students are encouraged to experiment with satire and social commentary. Workshops include slide shows, drawing games and group collaborations, and are tailored to the specific audience.
