About the Artist

Gary Green is a photographer and video maker. His work most often explores issues of landscape. His most current work is a series of large Iris giclee prints of tree trunks in a variety of environments including Portland's city parks and Monhegan and Great Spruce Head islands. He is also working on a series of photographs exploring collections of objects including books, tools, and salvaged items. His work is in the permanent collections of the Portland Museum of Art, the Bates College Museum of Art, the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Center for Photography at Woodstock, among others.
