About the Artist

Writer and publisher, author of three books: _Carrying Water as a Way of Life: A Homesteader's History_ (1997); _Writer on the Rocks--Moving the Impossible_ (2000); _Yes & No (Paris 1969; a novel)_ (2004). Professor of English and Environmental Studies at Colby College. I have experience teaching college students as well as adults and young adults, and am a frequent participant in Maine Humanities Council programs.
