About the Artist

Jack was born in Los Angeles in the mid-1950?s. As an inner city youth he started what would eventually be the trademark of his artistic work ? collage. He would find scraps of
paper, preferably items with words, for use in school projects and art assignments. This habit of collecting words from all form of debris was followed through art school at the California College of Arts & Crafts, and into a nomadic life of painting which led Jack to
residencies in Ireland, The Netherlands, Denmark, France, Germany, and Hong Kong. Jack moved to Maine in 2001, where he exhibits at the Art Space Gallery in Rockland.
He is a studio member at the Lincoln Street Center. He is also working in Digital Post Production on film projects at the Rhode Island School of Design.
