About the Artist

Sandra Dutton''s most recent book for children is ''Dear Miss Perfect: A Beast''s Guide to Proper Behavior,'' which she wrote and illustrated. Her books have been named to ''Pick of the Lists'' by American Bookseller, featured in Publishers Weekly, and have appeared on many ''best books'' lists.

She is also the book writer and lyricist for the musical ""Just a Matter of Time"" which premiered on Times Square, NYC, and is soon to be produced in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Bunbury Theatre.

She has taught both art and writing at the elementary, high school, and university levels, and has a Ph.D. in Rhetoric &&&& Composition. Teachers like the way she can draw parallels between the writing and illustrating processes, showing the research and drafting that go into each one.
