About the Artist
Nancy Tyndall has been entertaining and teaching both children and adults for 25 years with her one-woman Milkweed Puppet Theater. Workshops and residencies are available in presenting folktales with puppets, building a variety of puppets, and creating original storybox theaters. These workshops are an excellent addition to any language arts program, regardless of a teacher''s interest in pursuing puppetry. Workshops that involve puppet-making have an emphasis on providing a stimulating but friendly atmosphere to develope ingenuity in using simple, inexpensive materials. After earning her B.A. with an emphasis on children''s theater from Sarah Lawrence College, Nancy Tyndall''s graduate professors have been persistance, observation, trial and error, Puppeteers of America, old puppetry books, and any other resources available to ferret out the secrets of twisted wire, paper mache, and rabbit''s eyes.Says Nancy, '' I want to help children to grow to be Big and Rich- Big enough to give and Rich in things that have no price.'' Workshop fees variable with the situation, but basic fee is $200.00 for a school day
