About the Artist

Stephen Zeh handcrafts traditional Maine baskets in the manner of the old time Maine basketmakers. He learned this art during years spent in the Maine woods as a trapper and woodsman. His baskets are known for their high quality and design and are sold in select shops and galleries throughout the U.S. Zeh presents his unique methods and tools, from searching the Maine wodlands for the perfect brown ash tree to ""green bending"" the handcarved handles.
