About the Artist
Opened in 1981, the Wendell Gilley Museum honors its namesake, a pioneer in decorative bird carving. The Museum features a collection of Gilley''s works, from miniature waterfowl to life-size birds of prey. In addition, changing art exhibitions are offered, featuring contemporary and historical artists in a variety of media. Bird carving workshops and other art and natural history programs are given, year-round.
