About the Artist

It isn''t hard to find inspiration living in Brownville, Maine.... so most of my work features the beautiful flora and fauna of the many forests, lakes and rivers nearby. My paintings are realistic with a touch of impressionistic flair, done in vibrant acrylic. I have a special fondness for scenes of moose and loons! I also work in pen and ink and graphite. Clients have used my work to grace walls (murals), stationery such as greeting cards, story and product illustration and signage, etc. The Penquis Adult ed in Dover offers both a painting and drawing class that I prepare the curriculum for and teach. Being an artist in northern Maine can be incredibly fulfilling but at times the rural lifestyle makes it hard to make positive contacts and market properly. My goal, not only for myself but other rural Maine artist is to find outlets that allow us to keep doing and profiting at the work we love while still maintaining the quiet, rural country life we enjoy.
