About the Artist

I have recently relocated from Colorado to Maine. During my 13 years in the Denver area, I have explored many different mediums including stone carving and bronze sculpting. Whether I?m working in two or three dimensions, my artwork is about pattern, texture and the emotion of the human form. Although I have spent a lifetime studying and exploring, I believe I have only recently acquired enough skill and life experience to truly developing artistically. Physically I see my life making a full circle&#59; I grew up in Connecticut, have lived in New York and Colorado and find myself drawn back to the New England area. I see that my artwork has made similar circles as I moved from medium to medium. I am now excited about using the knowledge I have acquired in different areas to create painted clay sculptures. It is this cycle of exploration and discovery that keeps art and life exciting and challenging.
