About the Artist
Scott Moore grew up outside of Washington, D.C. His parents were both artists: his mother was a fashion illustrator and his father an art director for the Institute of Heraldry. The family moved to coastal Maine in the 1960?s. Moore moved back to Washington, D.C. after college, but returned to Maine in the early 1980?s. He has served as a consulting artist for Maine?s Percent For Art program and taught at the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland, Maine. He is an avid cross-country skier and canoeist, and lives in a nineteenth century farmhouse overlooking Penobscot Bay with his wife and daughter.
