About the Artist

Laurie Elizabeth Brooks is a former middle school teacher and trained expressive arts educational facilitator. Expressive arts teaches a safe way to address conflicts, stresses and self-image issues in a non-aggressive or self-distructive way. The use of visual art gives voice to adolescents during this turbulent time, particularly those who have difficulty expressing themselves verbally and in written form.
