About the Artist

It has been my determination to utilize my skills, knowledge, inventiveness and humor in my art making. I feel that these qualities are utilized to the best of my ability in each piece of work that I produce in the different formats of installation, photography, writing/poetry and video. I feel truthful about my process because I have been able to realize, visually, literally and psychologically how these elements become the energy behind my ideas, materials and subject matter. I know that there is an endless wealth of information that can occur at any time as I ""pay attention"" to my world.

As I map out my future work, I am always looking backwards and forwards while in the present. I have a strong sense of mission about my role as an artist. My ability to communicate my message is important for me as I keep looking and listening to my audience. They are my partners in this matter of artist and self-expression. They will allow me both freedom and direction that I need to continue making art that is relevant to the world and to myself.
