About the Artist

I make bottomless sculpture. My sculptures can be placed in varying positions to alter the meaning and impact of the piece.

Thus, the pieces are interactive in the sense that the owner can play with the pieces by re-arranging them to suit a mood or feeling. In fact, my works often contain 2 to 4 pieces that can be re-oriented and re-positioned vis-a-vis each other to express varying relationships and emotions.

My sculptures are domestic scale objects, ranging in size from hand held to floor standing. They reference universal themes, including family and genetic issues, through elegant reductive forms.

I work primarily in wood and in cast bronze. But, I have also shown sculptures made of glass, copper, brass, clay and handmade paper.
