About the Artist

I paint primarily with oil paints but also, I use gouache and egg tempera. I have always felt a deep connection to the land and therefore paint mostly landscapes. Observing the world around us is a sensual experience which I hope my paintings reflect, whether in a landscape, a portrait, or a still life. I use thin glazes and build the surface of a painting by letting one layer show through to the next, not only with oils but also with egg temepera and gouache.
