About the Artist
Nature, dance and cultures from around the world are the inspiration for Suzanne Drown''s original batik designs. Batik, an Indonesian word meaning, ''wax writing'', is a process in which fabric is painted with wax, then hand painted or vat dyed.
In addition to creating and exhibiting her work, Suzanne has taught and facilitated art experiences for children and adults in a variety of venues. You can also find her work on the web at www.sunfirebatiks.com.
