About the Artist

Paul Plumer is a Maine native artist/illustrator whose art education included study at Echole de Beaux Arts in Nancy, France, and The Art Center School in Los Angeles, now known as The Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA.

Plumer is among artists whose work was selected for the book, Strokes of Genius, the Best of Drawing published in the summer of 2007 by&#59; F+W Publications, North Light Books. Like most professional artists, Plumer began at a very young age and has continued painting, carving, and illustrating throughout his life.

His studio is located in an old barn adjacent to his 19th century home in Hallowell, Maine. He is a former instructor at Kents Hill School and at the Portland, Maine, School of Art. His work is found in numerous public buildings in Maine and in various private collections nation wide.
