About the Artist

I specialize in textile design using line drawings of gutta resist on silk. The silk is then painted with fiber reactive dyes and the color is steam set. Vibrant color is an important component of my silk which I then sew into scarves, wall hangings, pillows, and small paintings. My work reflects an interest in the natural world and is available at the Farnsworth Museum Store, Rockland, ME, the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden in Boothbay, ME, the Christine York Gallery in Deer Isle, ME, and the del Mano Gallery, Los Angeles, CA.
