Heidi Wilde

About the Artist

Heidi Wilde, a self taught artist, lives and works in Livermore Falls, Maine. In 2006 Wilde discovered a unique medium that suits her talents: reverse painting on glass. Reverse painting is an art form consisting of applying paint to a piece of glass and then viewing the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image. Using a self-developed painting process, Wilde paints from her original photos on reclaimed antique windows. With depth and intensity of color, Wilde endeavors to portray an ordinary moment in time as a jewel - ""Life captured in a window"".
