About the Artist

Musica Tricinia is a trio of two trumpets and keyboards. The ensemble presents music from the Renaissance to contemporary, using many different keyed trumpets with organ, piano, harpsichord and digitally sampled synthesizer. Members of the trio are Portland Sumphony members, John Schnell and Betty Rimes, and Portland municipal organist, Ray Cornills. Musica Tricinia offers formal recitals and a wide variety of educational presentations. The ensemble brings to its listeners an informative and engaging narrative.
