About the Artist

Bill Raiten is the Artistic Director of the New Surry Theatre and Performing Arts school- the non-for-profit organization founded in 1972 committed to presenting a high quality theatre and arts education to local communities.Bill also teaches and coaches actors in Boston and Glasgo,Scotland, as well as year-round acting classes in Maine. He began his directing and acting career in New York in 1964.He had successfully designed and implemented theatre-based programs for at-risk youth and adults.
