About the Artist

Writer Noreen Doyle provides well-researched and audience-appropriate fiction and nonfiction. She has contributed to The Gale Encyclopedia of World History: War&#59; The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Science Fiction & Fantasy&#59; the children''s magazines Dig and Calliope&#59; and others.

Her fiction appears in magazines and anthologies including The Mammoth Book of Egyptian Whodunnits.

She also works as a freelance editor. Her first anthology, THE FIRST HEROES: NEW TALES OF THE BRONZE AGE was nominated for a World Fantasy Award. Her most recently edited anthology is OTHERWORLDLY MAINE (Down East Books, 2008), a collection of science fiction and fantasy set in Maine.

She is also a documentary photographer, capturing local and foreign scenes alike--of nature and of culture--in color and black and white.
