About the Artist

The emotional connection I have to my body has kept me interested in exploring the male form. By objectifying this form I have been able to abstract, manipulate, and combined it with the introspections I have had as a man. The work attempts to make visible the conflict between exposure and the desire to be hidden

I was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have a wife and two daughters. Along with teaching at the University of New England, I teach at an elementary school. I have been an artist my whole life. My earliest memories are of drawing and making pictures. Even though I have dabbled in many different media, I keep coming back to drawing and painting. I have been a painter for over 18 years and still continue to marvel over the flexibility and versatility of paint.
