About the Artist
Maggie Bokor is a multi-dimensional artist who is always creating new ways to inspire others to celebrate life''s beauty. A fine arts graduate from Rhode Island School of Design, Maggie embarked on her art career in clay, specializing in public art and worked with fellow artists to broaden her abilities. Her desire to be involved with the community and share her passion for the arts naturally led her into teaching. She spent her nights writing songs and singing for local bands.
In the late 90?s, Maggie headed down the east coast, starting a new career in interior design. She met her builder/biologist husband, Greg, and settled on the Maryland shore. Maggie stayed connected to the world of image making through painting and photography. She became a Reiki master and earned a teaching belt in Nia, an unforgettable barefoot movement experience. These new tools opened her to the healing arts and inspired her to return full time to her artistic roots.
Maggie, Greg, and their pup, Toby, returned to New England in 2006 to reconnect to her childhood roots. Dancing through life as a full time artist, Reiki practictioner and Nia instructor, Maggie embraces every part of her life with enthuasism and creativity. Whether she is making jewelry, playing with clay, painting on canvas or dancing with her students, her personality always shines through. Who knows when you might meet up with Maggie next, could be a downtown gallery or singing a few lines at the local pub. We?ll just have to wait and see.
